Bond Textile Research innovates, tests and incubates products across industries — from monomaterial redesigns to the rigs that prove they perform. We don’t just advise. We build it, test it, and stand behind the numbers.
Bond Textile Research began inside a company selling cleaning products for carpet. Fielding complaints and advising on our own products taught us that carpets fail — and become impossible to recycle — for the same reason: too many different materials bonded together.
We spun out to do something about it. Over twenty years the knowledge we built about materials, bonding, durability and end-of-life proved useful far beyond carpet. Today we apply that thinking — and rigorous testing — across textiles, foam and composite products of every kind.
We invest our own capital, attract external investors to scale ventures that are ready, and collaborate with companies who bring a product or capability we don’t have in-house.

Portfolio companies we’ve spun out to market, and projects generating the evidence behind them.
A new 5-metre production line making carpet from a single material — PET — instead of seven or eight. Fully recyclable, without giving up performance.
A mono-material mattress that prevents bedsores through an open, breathable structure — and is taken back and recycled instead of landfilled.
Custom breast prostheses for women recovering from breast cancer, made to measure from a 3D scan — monomaterial, applied to healthcare.
A standardised testing rig, running since 2007, that proves whether a new carpet quality survives real-world cleaning — before it ever reaches the floor.
A self-contained, portable rig measuring what carpet really does to underfloor-heating performance and energy use.

Most consultancies stop at advice. We don’t.
A production line, a test rig, a working prosthetic — every project here was built by our own people.
Before we ask an external investor to back a project, we've already put our own money behind it.
QMC-007 has been a working, revenue-generating service for nineteen years.
Two decades in carpet taught us lessons in materials and durability that now apply across textiles, foam and composites.
With the patented Niaga® technology, OBJECT CARPET is setting new standards for the carpet industry.
